We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting the Young Entrepreneurs
Academy (YEA) program in South County starting this November.
The YEA program is a remarkable initiative designed to empower young
students and help them navigate the journey of building and opening
their very first business. At the heart of this program is a robust
curriculum that not only imparts essential entrepreneurial knowledge
but also connects our students with influential community business
leaders who can guide and inspire them.
We recognize that you have a keen eye for identifying students with
exceptional potential and the drive to succeed. We are seeking your
assistance in pinpointing those students who would greatly benefit
from this program. Your recommendations are invaluable to us, and
we trust that your insights will help us select the most promising
young entrepreneurs for this incredible opportunity.
In 2022, volunteers came out to help remove thousands of pounds of debris! Volunteers also painted out graffiti and removed litter throughout neighborhoods and canyons.

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Nearly 90 business and community leaders from San Diego
and Baja California -- including Mayor Todd Gloria and San Diego County
Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Nora Vargas -- will travel to Mexico
City Sunday to "champion U.S.-Mexico relations and advocate for issues
critical to the success of the binational business community."
SAN DIEGO — Mayor Todd Gloria congratulated city employees at a press
conference on Wednesday after the City of San Diego received $306 million
in grants this year.
These grants will be used to fix roads, streetlights, old infrastructure,
and bring more resources to community projects.

The City of San Diego's Fiscal Year 2024 Adopted Budget is $5.17 billion
and is comprised of five operating fund types and the Capital Improvements
Program (CIP). This represents an increase of $98.1 million, or 1.9
percent, compared to the Fiscal Year 2023 Adopted Budget.
This is primarily due to increases in the Enterprise Funds and General
Fund, offset with a decrease in the Capital Improvements Program (CIP)
associated with fewer appropriations for the Pure Water Program.
The project is intended to add state-of-the-art office space and the first new city library since 1995, as well as leaving space for the city’s first four-year university, a long-time goal of city leaders.
This initial phase includes construction of the 168,000 square-foot Class ”A” Think Campus at Millenia Office building, with office space unlike anything currently available in the city, a statement from the city reads.
