Greetings,
After almost three years, the COVID-19 Emergency Declaration has come to an end. While it has been a difficult time with much
uncertainty, I am proud of our City employees who worked tirelessly to keep our community safe, continued delivery of critical services and ensured city projects moved forward. Our resiliency would not have been possible without our amazing community who came together and supported each other in many ways.
Many of the effects of the pandemic are still being felt and we will continue to support our community as we recover. You will find the latest COVID-19 update with resources available in this month’s edition. As many of you know, for more than three decades we have been planning and moving toward bringing a four-year university to Chula Vista and the South Bay region. We continue our efforts with the help of Assemblymember David Alvarez through the introduction of AB 837. Learn more about our efforts in this month’s edition. March is Women’s History Month and we recognize, celebrate, and highlight all the countless contributions made by all the women in our city. One such example is our new Assistant City Manager, Tiffany Allen!
