GET IN THE KNOW 10/11/22
This digital series will provide you with an opportunity to hear from
and have a dialog with those looking to fill important roles throughout
the region. Our series will kick off on September 14th and run through
October. Sessions will take place on zoom at 4 PM each Wednesday during
this period.
The South County Economic Development Council is a non partisan organization
and does not support or endorse candidates. This series is designed
to foster a conversation about important issues in our communities.
Helping connect our communities, residents, and businesses with community
leaders is at the very core of what we do.
We hope you will be able to join us for this very important series
of discussions.

The City of Chula Vista has begun the process of working to create a Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan which will develop strategies and recommendations to create a more inclusive and equitable community, culture and workplace.
Register InformationThe South Bay to Sorrento (SB2S) Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan (CMCP) studied ways to improve transportation safety, increase travel choices, and improve mobility.
The plan aims to guide development of an innovative transportation network, transforming the way people and goods move through the San Diego region. The CMCP evaluates all travel modes and transportation facilities in a defined corridor – highways and freeways, parallel and connecting roadways, transit (bus, bus rapid transit, light rail, intercity rail, etc.), pathways, and bikeways.
Members of the public are welcome to join the meeting via the Zoom link below. Members of the Board are required to attend in person.
Meeting Date: 10/14/22
Time: 9 a.m.
Bus riders are essential workers and community members who deserve quick
and efficient transportation. However, transit commutes are roughly
twice as long as car commutes in San Diego. Moreover, half of all greenhouse
gas emissions in San Diego come from road transportation.
When: Join us for a Lunch and Learn on October 13 at 12:00, to hear
about Circulate’s new report, Fast Bus.
